A dozen people are said to be missing while over 30 are reported death as a landslide hit inhabitants of Gouache 4 west region of Cameroon.
This natural disaster is said to have occurred in the early hours of Monday morning as a result of heavy rains and it is said to have brought down over 11 houses leaving behind human and material losses
Forces of law and order immediately got to the scene and are helping out alongside the locals with search and rescue.
Governor Awa Fonka Augustine who was at the scene of the tragedy said the lone survivor evacuated to the hospital is responding to treatment.
2 state ministers are said to be on their way to the disaster site as the minister of decentralization and local development George Elanga Obam and Paul Atanga Nji are in their way following instructions from the head of state.
Reports suggest that the landslide may extend to other neighborhoods in the Bafoussam 3 sub division given the nature of the area
