Cameroon: The National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism takes stock of 2019

2019 has been marked by a lot of activities carried out at the national commission for the promotion of bilingualism and multiculturalism

with activities inscribed in its plan action carried out.

Out of the activities carried out by the Musonge commission in 2019 are the benchmarking mission in Canada. Also was the organization

of a media campaign which inspired law makers to come up with a law punishing hate speech and tribalism. Lawmakers also came up with

the controversial project on official languages in Cameroon still at the level of parliament.

As far as a plan of action for the year was concerned certain activities were carried out. The process or recruitment of personnel with a

major contribution on the preparation of the major national dialogue. Another was the  according of audiences to some diplomats in

Yaoundé and those out of the country which saw a sharing of experiences on different levels patterning to the crisis in the North West and

South West Regions of Cameroon.

The president of this committee has during an evaluation meeting called on his collaborators to ensure that they do their best to carry out

the feasible projects for the upcoming months so as to contribute their bid to the end of the Anglophone crisis.
