Forging Your Own Path
What does it mean to forge one’s own path? Some people go their entire lives without knowing the answer. Some would say that to forge one’s own path means to go against what others expect of them, to make the decision to live their own life the way that they want to live it. Of course, accomplishing this is not always a simple task. There are some obstacles that one must overcome in order to fully commit to going the direction that you want to go in life. First of all, one must decide where their priorities lie. If one has a desire to please their family, and do what is asked of them, they would not be able to “forge their own path”, as it were. One must decide if they prefer the idea of making their loved ones happy, or doing what they want to do in life. Another obstacle is the tenacity required to continue doing what you want to do, even in the face of adversity, If a person’s loved ones are against what they are doing, or if their dream requires a lot of schooling or work, they must show the resolve to press forward anyway, to reach the goal that they were hoping for. In the event that the path they choose to follow requires money, they must also being willing to work for it, both literally and figuratively.

Prince Harry and Meghan of the royal family took a big risk when they made the decision to leave the royal family. Leaving the royal family is something that has not been done in hundreds of years of tradition, and is something that could not have been an easy choice with the media attention, as well as the likely backlash from the family themselves. But Prince Harry and Meghan sought to live an independent life, one where they would be able to support themselves and live their own lives, as opposed to the lives the royal family might have expected from them. Their decision could serve as an inspiration to those that want to do similar things, such as live independently or do what they want to do despite what other’s might think. If Prince Harry and Meghan can leave something as prestigious as the royal family and face the onslaught of the public eye to achieve what they want to do, it is likely that anyone can find the resolve to go against the current and get the strength to achieve their goals and their dreams, whatever they may be.
