Nigeria on the verge of losing the organization of women’s U20 World Cup in 2020!
During a visit to Central America, Gianni Inafntino, FIFA’s president said the tournament could be entrusted to Costa Rica and Panama.
A hypothesis that is becoming increasingly important from a FIFA inspection visit to Nigeria last August. According to information, the land of the Super Eagles has no guarantee to host the competition in good conditions.
Thus, Infantino advanced the idea of co-hosting by Costa Rica-Panama. “Costa Rica is a country that lives football and does the good work of the Federation in cooperation with the authorities which is reflected in sports infrastructure and the important results of the various national teams ,” said Infantino.
Bad news in perspective for Africa that vibrated to welcome for the first time a female FIFA tournament. Note that the competition is to take place in July 2020.
