In Ms Seyitan story she was invited to an all-white party at Eko Atlantic on the 30th Dec 2018. She met a new friend at the party named Oyin who disclosed she was lodged in the same hotel as Ms Seyitan. On getting back to the hotel Oyin informed her that Dbanj saw her at the party and is offering to spend the night with her in exchange for money which she bluntly refused. She slept off in her room naked to wake up to Dbanj in her room. She then asked him what he was doing there but he ignored her and asked if she was a baby and started fingering her. Ms Seyitan threatened to shout and run out naked, Dbanj raped her. After he left, she noticed he had an extra key card and he was lodged in the same Hotel with member of his staff. The next she tried to get in touch with Dbanj but met his friend who apologized on his behald and said Dbanj will call her later to apologize and then gave her $100 for medication.
Nigerian music star Dapo Oyebanjo popularly known as ‘Dbanj’ has addressed the rape allegation levelled against him by Ms Seyitan Babatayo who alleged that Dbanj raped her on Dec 31, 2018, at Glee hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.
In a post shared via his Instagram page on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, the music star said the allegations are ‘all lies and from the pit of the hell’. He also said he’s innocent until proven guilty and urged people to ‘stop social media trial’
The music star went on to post a letter written by his lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome where he is demanding that the lady in question, Ms Seyitan should tender an open apology with a N100M compensation.
Ms Seyitan after retracting her allegations revealed in a press statement via Twitter that ‘18th June 2020, I was isolate from my family, coerced, pressured and intimidated in person by Dbanj and his team to retract all statements and to announce that my testimony was a publicity stunt’.
