KAIS SAIED THE MAN TO LEAD A NEW TUNISIA

The electoral commission of Tunisia has announces Kais Saied is the winner of Sundays presidential election.

The retired professor  61, secured 73% of the votes in the run-off elections while his opponent Nabil Karoui  who had earlier conceded defeat after he campaigned from his prison cell after he was arrested on claims of money laundering and tax fraud, charges which he has always denied.

The newly elected president had come out before a jubilant crowd mostly youths who are said to make up a huge chunk of his electorates promising a new Tunisia under his reign as he is set to become Tunisia’s next president.

This victory was highly anticipated as polls Monday revealed that the man fondly called the robot had won the presidential race before the confirmation of the electoral commission.
