Low self-esteem
Low self-esteem is a condition that affects many people around the world and occurs when a person has a wrong opinion about himself.
While it is tough to determine a specific number of people with low self-image, there are several signs associated with this problem. It is also possible for someone to struggle with low self-esteem and not realize it.
By identifying some common symptoms of low self-esteem, we can identify a person with low self-esteem, which will allow us to find ways to help that person.
Signs of low self-esteem
Signs of low self-esteem differ between those that appear externally and those that struggle internally. Let’s start with the external symptoms.
It is common for a person with low self-esteem to look high and arrogant because he always boasts of his accomplishments or the number of things he has experienced throughout his life.
Just as a person with low self-esteem can be loud and arrogant, another person with low self-esteem can be calm and very conservative.
These people will generally look for excuses to explain why they are unable to participate in certain activities.
Another external sign of low self-esteem is a person who is continually debating and arguing about his opinions and ideas.
It is easy to see this person as a “stalker,” but this hard outer part is usually used to hide suspicion that causes low self-esteem.
However, just as a person can be considered a stalker who always tries to push people, another person with low self-esteem can seem like the opposite because he appears to be a “doormat” or someone who always says, “Yes.”
“In general, a person who manages low self-esteem in this way will also show other signs, such as not contacting the eye and repeatedly apologizing.
Above, we discuss some external signs of low self-esteem. Now we will focus on some internal signs of low self-esteem.
People who struggle with low self-image have many negative thoughts throughout the day. These thoughts include “I can’t,” “I’m not good enough because …”, “I can never accomplish something like this,” “I am ugly,” etc.
The list can go on and on. Other internal signs are when a person continually repeats their previous position and focuses on what they should have done differently.
By focusing on past events, people with low self-esteem will think of possible future events that usually end in a negative outcome.
