1. Wear Loose-Fitting Bottoms and Cotton Underwear

The vagina needs to feel relaxed and not been tied in a tight underwear. Therefore avoid putting on tight underwears, lace and thongs because they are not good for a woman’s hygiene. Under health advice, it is advisable for a lady to put on basic cotton underwears and also be careful with what they put on before sleeping.

2. Watch your weight

Often, “chronic vaginal odor” does not only come from the vagina. That is, the smell from below can be as a result of excessive flesh that is found around the folds and inner thighs of an over weight. That is to say, due to being overweight the folds become breeding ground for bacteria which when accumulated can bring about a bad smell.

3. Change your pad regularly when you are on your period

Some women can stay the whole day from morning till night with one pad on which is not correct. When blood accumulates on the pad, it begins to smell causing that downer part to have a bad smell which will definitely make you uncomfortable. As a lady it is advisable to change your pad after every 4 to 5 hours of use, all depending on how your flow is.

4. Bath regularly

When you sweat or stay for long without bathing, and you probably have hair down there, the sweat can accumulate and also dead skin  causing a bad smell. Also, a bad smell can come up just to let you know you have to shower. Maintaining a regular hygiene practice can help avoid the accumulation of the scent that you don’t like. Women should bath at least 2 times a day to avoid bad odors coming out of their body.
