1. Do not scratch the itchy area
When you are having itches, it is good to avoid scratching the affected area. This is because, when you scratch the anus, it can cause more irritation which is not good. If the itching is unbearable, apply a moist room-temperature compress to the area.
2. Avoid products that irritate you
using soap, genital deodorants, moist wipes, and perfumes is not good for the anus which is one of the delicate parts of the body. For this reason, it is important to avoid using such things down there. When you use the toilet or want to clean down there, use white, unscented toilet paper or simply wash with clean water.
3. Cleanse gently
at times when you go to the toilet and release, you may end up not cleaning your anus well. The fact that there is little poo around that area can cause itches. So it is important to take your time and clean up well after using the toilet. Avoid scrubbing the area around the anus, and instead, clean the area around the anus with plain water.
In case you do these three things and in 5 days you do not see any changes, it is advisable to see a doctor. Go do some checkups and get a doctor’s advice on how to go about it.
