Glee star Naya Rivera is reported missing after her 4-year-old son was found alone in a boat in Lake Piru. Her son revealed they both jumped in for a swim but his mother never made it back to the surface
The Glee star and her son Josey rented a boat on Lake Piru on Wednesday afternoon, but three hours another boater raised alarm after seeing the vessel drifting on and the child asleep.
The Ventura County Sherriff’s Department found Rivera’s life vest on the boat and confirmed that she did go in the lake to swim and acknowledging that “this may be a case of drowning”. Her car was found nearby. The cops say it is “challenging to interrogate a toddler.”
The missing 33-year-old starred in 113 episodes of the hit musical series from 2009 to 2015 amongst other shows.
Divers and helicopters are scouring the lake but still no sign of Rivera. And the search continues as the sun begins to rise.
A number of celebrities have called for prayers for the missing actress, including singer Demi Lovato and Harry Shum Jr, who played Mike Chang in Glee.
