Coronavirus is gradually spreading in Cameroon as the minister of health announces another case of the infection.
On sunday March 15, 2020, the minister of Public Health Dr Manaouda Malachie confirmed the fourth case of contamination of the coronavirus in Cameroon.
Unlike the first case, the new patient of the virus comes from France, a country Cameroon receives people from on a regular basis.
The patient arrived in Cameroon on an SN Brussels flight.
The minister made the announcement publicly on his tweeter page.
“The suspect patient identified yesterday by our device from Yaoundeé Nsimalen airport, on the SN Brussels flight from RCDG and confined to HJamot, is positive for COVID19.
It is the 4th case recorded in our country. I demand even more responsibility and vigilance, ”Dr Manaouda Malachie tweeted.
This new case thus takes the number of people affected by this virus to four.
Cavaye Yeguie Djibril should be quarantined
Few days ago the minister of External relation published a communique to the public.
The information on the communique requires that anyone coming into Cameroon must present a negative test result of the covid 19, else such will not be allowed access into the country.
On the same note, the Minister of Public health requires a 14 days quarantine for those entering the country so as to reduce the spread of the virus.
With regards to the requests of these ministers, the spokesperson for the Cameroonian Party for National Reconciliation (PCRN),Anne Feconde Noah, recommends to Cavaye Yeguie Djibril to comply with the requirements of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSANTE), and the Ministry of External Relations (MINREX), to limit the spread of the disease.
“ We invite the Honorable Cavaye Yeguie Djibril to present a negative COVID-19 test as prescribed by MINREX, or to observe a quarantine period of 14 days as prescribed by MINSANTE, during which period will make it to no place populous ”, she wrote on her Facebook.
