Paul Chouta has been under provisional arrest warrant for six months in the Kondengui maximum prison. Reason being, a defamation
case following a complaint against him by Calixte Beyala.
3 to 10 years in prison!
The Franco-Cameroonian novelist is demanding a heavy prison sentence against the web journalist: “As for the prisoner, everyone knows
that he is a cybercriminal who will be tried for the facts (…) which he is accused of.
The prison sentence in this case is not six months. But from 3 to 10 years in prison ”. Writes Calixte Beyala on Wednesday December 18,
2019 to her thousands of subscribers on her facebook page.
The writer took advantage of this announcement to reveal some information. “I was indeed received. December 4 between 8:30 am and
9:30 am in the French Parliament, for a hearing on the NOSO crisis and the murder of women including that of Ayafor. No offense to the
carriers of fake news whose activities are essentially disinformation. Informing, slander and the call for rape of women.
My mission not being finished, I wished not to echo it in the press,” she revealed. Calixte Beyala ended her remarks by welcoming the help
of certain relatives.
In particular those who accompanied her in the preparation of her hearing in the French parliament: “I would particularly like to thank Jean
Victor Nkolo of the UN who helped me to prepare this hearing well. By providing me with all the necessary elements ”.
