Cameroonians in the diaspora has asked the president to end his deafening silence else they will declare vacancy of power

Cameroonians diaspora community has asked the head of state, president Paul Biya to put an end to his deafening silence.

Headed by General Robert Wanto,the Council of Cameroonians of the Diaspora (CCD) says they want to see Biya at work in this period of health crisis.

They want to see the president out of “his hiding place”.

They published a press release addressed to the tenant of the Etoudi Palace.

In their press release they denounced the cancellation of May 20 National Day celebration.

” An official note from the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic of Cameroon, signed in date of April 22, 2020, came to confirm what the bruised people of Cameroon, the vast

majority of them already feared, namely a vacuity of power at the top of the Cameroonian state, due to a prolonged and unjustifiable absence of the first Cameroonians, yet supposed to be with their

people, at the very moment when they have never needed them as much as during the high-speed propagation of COVID-19, to reassure them in the face of the national and global danger to which

exposed the entire Cameroonian nation ,  contained in the press release.

They further demands the president ” de facto, come to put an end to his deafening silence which comes more and more to credit the idea of ​​a vacancy of power at the top of the state “.

Council of Cameroonians of the Diaspora(CCD) gives the president until May 19 at 9:00 pm to address the nation himself.

According to the Council of Cameroonians of the Diaspora(CCD), if the president fails to do so there will be a street demonstration in all ten regions and villages of the country.

” The CCD, from May 19, 2020 at 9:00 pm, the sovereign people of Cameroon will see for themselves the vacancy of power. He will be ipso facto forced to reclaim his destiny and his sovereignty in the streets of the cities and villages of all the ten regions of Cameroon on May 20, 2020 at 10am ”.
