Cavaye Yeguie Djibril invites “all voters to go to the polls on February 9, 2020”

The closing of the last extraordinary session of the National Assembly for the year 2019 took place on Wednesday, December 11. This is indeed the last ordinary session of the deputies whose mandate will be renewed on February 9th.

In closing the session, the Speaker of the National Assembly Cavaye Yeguie Djibril welcomed the fact that the Assembly was able to play its role for 6 years. He expressed thanks to his fellow parliamentarians.

“Beyond a few misunderstandings about politics for six years, we managed to play our role as legislator, all chapels combined. For being your President, I thank you for it. I thank you especially for your trust, your respect for me throughout the term of office, “said Cavaye Yeguie Djibril.

Referring to the prospect of the upcoming twin elections on February 9, 2020, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril wished his colleagues who, like him, would still seek the suffrage of the Senegalese.

Adding to his remarks, the Speaker of the National Assembly invited voters to go massively to the polls. “Soon, many will go to the polls and I wish them good luck. Others will leave for new tomorrows. To those, I say courage. I take this plenary’s pretext to invite all voters to go to the polls on February 9, 2020, to choose their deputies and municipal councilors in all their souls and consciences, “said Cavaye Yeguie Djibril.
