Ekema Patrick

The native of the southwest region of Cameroon is said to have given up the ghost in the early hours of this Sunday.
Patrick Ekema, Mayor of Buea the capital of the South West Region of Cameroon is no more. He died this morning on October 27th 2019 of a heart attack in Douala the economic capital of Cameroon. He was only 46 years old and passed away from causes. May his soul rest in peace.
Sources closer to the family say he suffered from a heart attack while in a hospital in Douala after he was rushed there for treatment. Before his untimely death, the no-nonsense mayor is said to have carried out his activities normally yesterday before suffering a malaise.

He will be remembered fondly as the mayor who forced open stores of vendors locked on ghost town and lockdown days in the troubled city of legendary hospitality Buea southwest region of Cameroon.

Ekema Patrick stands out as one of those authorities to have welcomed the head of state to his municipality in 2013 during the 50th-anniversary celebrations of Cameroon’s unity.

He will also be missed by the football-loving people of Buea as he organized yearly soccer tournaments in his municipality to keep his people busy and entertained.
