Stand Up For Cameroon and some women are calling on all Cameroonian women to boycott official activities of Women’s day celebration in Cameroon.

The Stand UP For Cameroon movement made up of political parties and representatives of civil society were in front of the press this Friday February 21,2020 to “denounce the massacre of civilians (women and

children) of Ngarbuh in Donga-Mantung, North West Region of Cameroon”.

Barrister Alice NKOM, Mme KAH Walla, Barrister Tchakounte Charlotte and Barrister Michelle Ndoki, invited all their “sisters” to be dressed in black on March 08 in memory of the women and children killed in

Cameroon.

For the restoration of the nation, they said: “Enough is enough, Stop the massacres of Cameroonians, No to the loincloth of March 08, Yes to the boycott International Women’s Day loincloth, No official parades and

ceremonies to be organized by the Cameroonian government.

These civil society activists are inviting all women to join the movement to denounce human abuse.

According to the women, March 8 should be to remember all the women and children that have been killed in Cameroon as a result of the ongoing crisis. A special attention is given to all the victims of the Ngarbuh

Massacre of February 14.

There is no reason celebrating the international women’s day, and buying of loincloth when little or nothing is being done to end the crisis.

These women at the forefront of this action have been advocating to a change in government.
